Tomba ‘Brace For Impact’ EP by Buygore

Tomba

Tomba, after forming AMP (Alphamale Primates) alongside Borgore, launching his solo career in late 2009 was natural.

Influenced by many genres, but most noticeably metal, Tomba substantiated himself as one of the most hard-hitting and intense artists in the dustup scene.

Most recognised for his energetic and almost possessed performances, Tomba had played side by side with the most influential names in Dubstep all over Europe and the US, as tours in Canada and Australia are right next on the bill.

Seems like Tomba never ceases to get better and better and is now ready to explode in this 2011 with the highly anticipated ‘Brace for Impact’ EP landing this march on Buygore.

Soundcloud Latest Tracks Dubsapiens

Dubsapiens 1 Origins: Dubsapiens all started in Orlando, around early 2007, first production started in early 2008 with Kincaide & Doc Wisdom, but the true influence of Dub step came from a trip to Tallahassee FL back in February of 2007, When Kincaide was invited to play at a birthday party, for fellow DJ. “It was the coldest day of the year!” says Kincaide, thinking back. “My girl at the time, and I were even interviewed on how cold it was.” Getting back to the story, the party took place @ Paradigm, on college ave. Nice big glass front could see everything from the street. As the night went on, a mutual friend of ours, named Norbel, stepped to the decks and started to play “Midnight Request Line” by Skream, and throughout the set, we discovered the slow grinding beats, and the throbbing subs, you could feel it in our chests, it was a revelation! It was a great night all in all, but I we walked away from the experience enlightened and inspired, and the hotel was not bad either, he he! Ok, the whole thing with Dubsapiens is that anyone that works with Kincaide or Doc Wisdom, is absorbed into the Dubsapiens family, just to clear the air.

Kincaide:

1.What got you into the music?
What got me into music for one, would have to be the amount of stuff that was getting played on the radio and tv, was becoming…bleeeh…you know the feeling where, “ugh there has to be more than this out there!” So probably “music frustration”, to put it one way.

2. What was your influences? Musically? Personally?

Dillinja…most def! A lot of Hip Hop, Artifacts, Beastie Boys, Wu Tang, Xzibit, … Movies, commercials, comedy, pretty much anything is an inspiration to me now, ill watch the top ten videos on MTV and just barf! lol j/k

3. What style of music do u prefer to dj/produce?

DNB, and right now I am on the Dubstep tip, have been since early 2007.

4. What styles are u mostly into?

I can’t seem to get away from hard step party style, whole drop culture, along with some smoother stuff for the ladies, cause i loves the ladies!

5. In what direction do u want to see the electronic music scene and music in general move into?

BACK IN this city! Back like 1998-2002 it was pretty ill back then for me, and just the war with vinyl vs multi media has to be able to work with each other, and if vinyl were produced cheaper, I think we could see it come back, but it’s petroleum based, so if we could find a different material, then it’s not gonna change much.

DJ JM:

1.What got you into the music?
My ears and the way music can touch your soul and drive emotion.

2. What was your influences? Musically? Personally?
Always being surrounded different genres from classical to hard rock.

3. What style of music do u prefer to dj/produce?
DnB and Progressive house.

4. What styles are u mostly into?
Liquid Funk DnB, Dubstep, Progressive House/Breaks.

5. In what direction do u want to see the electronic music scene and music in general move into?
For the sound to continue to evolve.

T.Correy

Inspired by his musician father and artist mother, Tim Correy has been surrounded by music and art his entire life. He was exposed to electronic music around 1989 and began dj’ing in 1993/94. Tim’s unique sound encompasses a wide variety of styles, genres and even time periods. His live sets are uncompromising, energizing and uplifting. His musical voice is truly his own because he goes where the music takes him, not focusing on any one sound or style, but rather creating a high energy groovespace inspiring the audience to dance and fully become part of the musical journey. He gravitates towards beats that have a lot of energy and emotion, and while he doesn’t have a favorite genre; tunes with grimy-analogue-bassy leads, bangin’ backbeats and moving vocals continually make their way into his sets. Tim draws inspiration from a myriad of things including different moods he’s in, random noises such as train horns or a boat rubbing against the dock, and his family and friends. One of the founders of SceneOrlando.com (one of Orlando, FL’s largest online EDM communities) and Sceneorlandoradio.com,part of the Beltek crew, and currantly part of the dubsapiens Tim continues to delight in playing for audiences with his energetic and fun sets
